Project 52 Week Three

crazy lists

I ♥ to do lists i really do but i am just shy of the obsessive compulsive musthaveatodolistorimuseless Psyche. I use them as a basic guide line for what needs to be done. (right now a lot needs to be done, see my priorities?) I stray from the list sometimes all the time but in my head i know its there.

Which leads me into the point of this. Today i am walking through the grocery store because well lets face it the cupboards are bare. I am shopping impaired. i am walking down the baby aisle because well i need diapers too. (yes i suck) And there is this woman frantically looking through literally pages upon pages of to do lists. I do not for the record date my to do lists that’s for blogging and letters. On the phone shes saying quite seriously that sex is not on her to do lists this week or next. ::snicker snicker:: yes i am that person who snickers at stupid shit.

I left the aisle rather quickly and texted my hubby to tell him that until sex is on our to do list we are not having it!

Of course when i got home i had to explain this to him why it was so ridiculously funny to me. But still if it ever got to the point that sex has to be on a to do list please someone put me out of my misery.

whats the craziest thing on your list?

loud

i think im a good wife. i do not think that i fly off the handle more than any other frustrated working mom would. but when i wait to eat because i know the muchkin won’t let me cook in peace. and I love to cook. only to open the freezer to find all the chicken breasts that we just bought compeletly gone and no one told me about it. Yea ok im kinda ticked. So hours after i flipped out on him, the hubs tells me that he feels bad because he realizes when he needs to vent and yell at someone im the one that always gets it. He bounces everything off me. granted i am used to this. because he only has a few friends and since we moved away from all of them we hardly see them. So i just adapted. But he did have a point it always seems like he is yelling at me when hes venting. but it is what it is.

river of drool

The Good News: the Munchkin’s river of snot and drool, is ending, and her appetite has returned. The mucus however is horrid. The Bad News: Mine Free flowing Drool Not withstanding. Which means that the mommy train has come to a stop. Only doing what absolutely needs to be done and following that with wallowing on the couch playing patty cake with the munchkin and watching the entire third season of Bones on DVD, because dammit i need to know who Grogamon is. My life is that pathetic. Let’s not forget the the text messages planning a friends birthday party, The beeping is getting old. did i mention the cats? they are pregnant and waayy more affectionate then they should be with me, (if i could find the vet i would sue, but he seems to have skipped town, and closed down.) Arse!

I am still trying to find out why most days i feel apathetic, not really depressed i think i just do not like all the struggles we’ve been having lately. The Munchkin however gets to go to work with mommy in the morning for a few hours while daddy goes to a meeting. it sucks when you kid is sick and you can’t get anyone to watch her. At least i am aloud to take her, if fact i was told to. Speaking of meeting i should go be a good wife and find his dress pants and the like, and make sure they are ironed. But i have all day to do that. Right now i need to sanitize some toys and give the munchkin her meds.

ruby red slippers

let me start by saying that i didn’t make a single resolution this year. I am trying something a little new. I am going to enter this new year with no reservations and unrealistic goals and in a year from now we will see just where we stand. So far the first few days of this new resolve have earned us one flat tire, a sick baby, a sick mommy, a free dinner out, a pay raise and two pregnant cats. Not exactly even or that the good outweighs the bad but were trying.

Janurary brings us scattered snow storms, but nothing really sticking around for very long, everything is bright and green again. It also brings 18 month old clothes for an 8 month old baby i may be raising a future member of the WNBA. I have hopes for this year i do, but i try not to get them to far up for fear that like previous years they just come crashing down into my face.

2008 was a lot to test my strength, my marriage, struggles with loved ones, lonliness, grief, pregnancy, and unsent letters to unresolved problems. Just because the year changes does not mean that you have to change everything about yourself in one fail swoop, or its pointless. 2009 will start with the same trials and tribulations that ended 2008, the same way 2010 will start when 2009 comes to a close. have you noticed how fast the years go now, when your a kid they are endless days and nights, now the time is just never enough.

No ruby red slippers, or fairy god mother wishes here, stop at the next house.
